Identifying Hub Types, Patterns and Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD's)

Hubs and rotors come in a plethora of bearing combinations and stud patterns.  Many trailer kits default to common Ford (slimline) or (LM) Holden bearings.  However, it is important to know that you could require a mix of both.  So how do you work out which trailer wheel bearing kit you need?  It's actually not that hard, it just takes a bit of investigating.

Here are some simple steps.

Firstly identify the size and number of the studs on your hub.

Using the above diagrams suitable to your stud pattern measure the PCD.

Holden
